Rigid Training

Doyle Driver Training provides professional Category C rigid truck driver training in Waterford for learners looking to obtain their rigid truck licence and progress towards a career in professional driving.

Training is provided by experienced RSA Approved Driving Instructors in our fully insured training vehicle. Lessons are tailored to your experience and ability, with patient, practical instruction focused on developing the skills, knowledge and confidence required for your Category C driving test and for safe professional driving.

Our modern Volvo FL Category C training vehicle is fully automatic, fitted with dual controls and fully insured for both driver training and driving tests.

If you hold a manual Category B car licence, you can complete your Category C training and driving test in our automatic truck without receiving an automatic-only restriction on your Category C licence.

Training is carried out in Waterford and includes experience on the roads and driving conditions relevant to your test, helping you become familiar with the skills and standards expected on test day.

If you need a C1 licence, doing the full Category C course is usually the smarter option. Passing your category C test will also cover you for C1, so you gain both entitlements through one test, saving time and money. Subject to meeting all RSA licensing requirements.
