Getting Started

 • To get your Category C (Rigid Truck) Learner Permit you must pass a  Driver Theory Test with at least 74 out of 100 correct answers. We recommend using the CD-ROM on Online Learning Tool for study purposes as it emulates the actual test. Click here for more Information on the Theory Test
 

• When that is done you must successfully complete a Medical Examination with a Medical Report Form stamped by your Doctor.  We recommend ticking both Categories C and CE on your form, as this will eliminate a return visit if you consider getting a Category CE Licence in the future.   
 

• Fill in a Learner Permit Application Form and bring it to your nearest NDLS Centre along with your completed  Medical Report Form and two forms of Identification (eg: Utility Bill  and Passport)
 

• When that is done please wait to receive your Learner Permit in the post. Once you have it you can begin your Practical Driving Tuition.

 • You do not need to sit another Theory Test or complete another medical examination if you have your Category C Licence, You Just need to apply for your learner permit. This can be done as soon  as the day you have passed your Category C Practical Driving Test.

    
• Fill In a Learner Permit Application Form and bring it to your nearest NDLS Centre along with two forms of Identification (eg: Utility Bill and Passport)    

• Await receipt of your Learner Permit in the post. You can then begin your Practical Driving Tuition.
